I would like to know if there is any silent installation documentation for Scala 2.11.12?

You can download the 2.11.12 tarball or zipfile from the Scala website and expand it.

Note also that many Scala programmers never “install” Scala at all. Many of us install an IDE such as IntelliJ and/or a build tool such as sbt or Maven or Gradle, and then the IDE or build tool retrieves any requested Scala versions as needed.

is that working with VS Code IDE (installing sbt only) ?

I believe so, and I don’t see any indications to the contrary at Visual Studio Code | Metals
