The Steering Committee for April Language Announcements is pleased to announce the S.C.A.L.A. 4.1 release of the ecosystem.
The purpose of this release is to support migration to Dotty and also give Seth a break from fixing the community build.
To this end, besides the 20 million lines of open source code compiled by the community build, we would like to emphasize the 10 million lines that don’t compile. We feel that this should encourage more projects to migrate to Dotty. In addition, we find that it reduces compile times 3-300x over a successful compilation in 2.12.
Note that Dotty will be available when ScalaTest compiles.
