I want to know About Recommended Setup for Scala Tooling in 2025

Hey everyone,

I have been working with Scala on & off for a couple of years, mostly on personal projects but now I am jumping into a more serious build and want to make sure my tooling setup is on point. I know the Scala ecosystem keeps evolving so I thought I would check in with the community for some updated suggestion.

What is the go-to setup these days for Scala development?? I have been using Metals with VSCode but I want to know if that is still the best combo or if there are newer tools or workflows I should be checking out. Also want to know about little helpers such as linters, formatters or test runners that make your life easier.

Also I have been exploring topics such as What is Generative AI & it made me realize how fast tech stacks shift—Scala tooling might be no different.
Also i have check this A preprocessor that works with Scala tooling witch is helpful still I want to know more. If there are any suggestion please share with me.

Thank you :raised_hands:
