Process performance consultant, experimenting upon detailed discrete-event simulation models to improve the performance of real-world manufacturing and distribution processes. Most of my work is spent in the automotive, manufacturing and logistics industries.

I developed my first simulation models in the mid 1980’s using, gulp, FORTRAN 77. Since then, I’ve used C, C++, Java, C#, Perl and a bunch of other more simulation-specific languages (such as SLX and SimTalk).

I discovered Scala around 2009, and I’ve been smitten with it ever since. I have to also say that the Scala Community is a great bunch of super-talented people!
